Is the refillable mug glass or plastic?

Ahoy there Cynthia, and thanks for sailing our way at planDisney!

Looks like in just about a month, you'll be charting a course to an incredible Disney Cruise Line vacation! You've got a sharp eye and a keen sense of saving when it comes to the refillable mug available onboard - it's one of the best ways to add value to an adventure that already includes so much

Simply put, it's a very STOUT, 22-ounce glass mug and I actually have two of them sitting on my counter right now! All throughout your cruise, these mugs can be used at any lounge to receive a 22-ounce refill for the price of a 16-ounce pour. That's a price that PALEs in comparison, and definitely nothing to ever be SOUR about! I love getting a refill while topside at Currents or at Preludes just before watching one of the amazing Broadway-style shows in the Walt Disney Theater. Something about a beverage in an ice-cold mug that feels super luxurious.

Of the many things that will make your voyage amazing, the numerous nightclubs and lounges and adult-exclusive spaces are some of the best! From the spaces in After Hours on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, to The District on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, you're never far away from a tap! During the day, some of these spaces like French Quarter Lounge, La Piazza, and the Crown and Fin or O'Gills pubs serve double-duty as family-friendly areas for cruisers to particIPAte in trivia, learn-to-draw sessions and more, but crew members are always available to refill your mug for you.

If at any point the "HEFFEWIZENs and woozles" make you worry about PORTERing your mug around the ship, you can exchange your mug for a token from any of the helpful crew members at a lounge - just be sure to exchange it back for a mug the night before you disembark if you'd like to pack it in your checked baggage for the journey home! It's a great souvenir to take the BITTERness out of the end of a cruise!

Oh, and one "planDrew-approved" tip as a finALE...the mug is often available through Onboard Gifts so it's ready and waiting for you in your stateroom on the first day of your cruise! Talk about a DUBBEL dose of ease!

Thanks again, Cynthia for your question! If you find yourself needing a compass as your plans come up over the horizon, you know where to find me here at planDisney!

    Fair winds and following seas!
