Welcome to planDisney, Carol!
I consider the Resort Refillable Mugs a must-have for my family’s Walt Disney World Resort vacation. It’s great to pay one initial price and then have unlimited refills of coffee, tea, and soft drinks, and it just feels like vacation to me when I settle by the pool with a cold beverage in my hand. As a bonus, the cups make fantastic souvenirs once you’re home – I love drinking out of mine when I’m missing my happy place.
I’m happy to confirm that Resort Refillable Mugs are still available. Many things look a little different right now, including the way the process works. You can still purchase a mug at
resort hotel Quick Service dining locations (in fact, you can now check pricing on the online Quick Service menus, which is so convenient), but the beverage islands are not currently accessible by Guests. Instead, a Cast Member will give you a disposable cup filled with your drink of choice, which you can pour into your resort refillable mug (or just drink directly from the disposable cup – your call).
Please note that Resort Refillable Mugs are only available for purchase at resort hotel Quick-Service locations, and can also only be refilled at those locations. The mugs can't be purchased or refilled inside the theme parks.
A fun development in the world of Resort Refillable Mugs is that some resort hotels have two options – the standard plastic mug, and a stainless steel option. Currently,
the standard mug is priced at $19.99 and the stainless steel at $29.99; pricing, designs, and availability are subject to change.
Cheers to your
springtime vacation, Carol! As you prepare for your visit, be sure to take a look at the
details about Walt Disney World’s phased reopening, including operational changes and health and safety guidance. I highly recommend reading the
Disney Parks Blog as you count down the days, as they share news and updates as well as tips on the best food and experiences around the theme parks and resorts. And, of course, if you think of any more questions, please come back and see us.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
