How do I reduce the number of guests on an advanced dining reservation. One member of our party will not be able to attend.

    Hi Mary!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you are planning a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation and I'm so happy to hear that you will be taking advantage of advanced dining reservations for your trip. This is the perfect way to ensure you will be able to enjoy many of the incredible dining experiences at the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs during your vacation!

You can modify your dining reservation by accessing your reservation online at My Disney Experience or through the My Disney Experience mobile app. You will be able to update your dining party to reflect the correct number of Guests at your reservation and check for availability of your new party size. You can also call the dining specialists at (407) 939-1947 and they can help you modify your reservation for the correct number of Guests.

In my experience, I have been able to successfully modify my reservations, but I have had challenges in cases where the change in Guests changed the table size we needed. In the worst case, you can always keep your current reservation and explain your smaller party size when you check in at the restaurant to enjoy your meal.

Please let us know if you have additional questions as you continue planning. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
