Hello, Kristina. Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Mmm, my mouth is watering over the thought of all the
delicious dishes you'll enjoy during your visit to the Disneyland Resort. Using your
Disney Visa Card is a great way to set aside reward dollars useful for purchases during your Disneyland Resort vacation! Disney Rewards Redemption Cards are accepted for payment at most restaurants throughout the Disneyland Resort. When you use your Disney Rewards Redemption Card for dining purchases, it acts basically like a credit or debit card. When your server brings your receipt to sign, you’ll have a chance to fill in an additional amount for gratuity for your service team. As long as the total payment including the tip does not exceed the amount of Disney Rewards Dollars on your redemption card, it will be accepted as a valid form of payment for the meal and tip!
We have also often used
Disney Gift Cards to pay for meals and tips. I use a spreadsheet on my mobile phone to track balances on our gift cards to make sure that there are enough funds to cover the total I indicate on the receipt. The restaurants are usually pretty quick to finalize those charges. That helps so that I don’t accidentally use up funds that were meant for the tips if we happen to stop to
shop soon after a meal and continue to use the same gift card. If you are staying at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel, you may also choose to charge your meal and tip to your room. You may then use your Disney Rewards Redemption Card to pay for your room account balance. Note that some restaurants, mostly in the
Downtown Disney District are not currently able to accept Disney-specific payments such as the Disney Rewards Redemption Card, Disney Gift Cards, or room charges.
Please come by with any more questions you may have. And save some
fried pickles for me, Kristina!
