I am recovering from total knee replacement. Where can my husband drop me off so I can have less walking through the parking lots. We are going to all three parks.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jerome and family! Your pixie dusted vacation is coming up quickly, and I know you’re rearing to go, just like Anna to open the gates.

You’ll be happy to know that all 4 Walt Disney World Resort main theme parks offer handicapped parking. If you can obtain a special parking pass from your doctor’s office, you’ll be able to park in these designated areas, either much closer to the entrance or the tram pickups, which will allow you to ride instead of walk. You’ll also want to know that if you do not have a wheelchair and need access to one, you can rent a wheelchair or ECV daily or for length of stay right inside the touch points at all the parks. My mom has joint issues and I happily wheeled her from attraction to attraction during our extended family vacation only a few years ago. Riding the Monorail was her favorite method of transportation for it’s available seats, wheelchair ramps, and close proximity to Epcot and Magic Kingdom gates.

If I can help you with any other planning tips or services for guests that need more assistance, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
