Hello Patricia! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm so sorry to hear that your sister-in-law has recently broken her foot, especially at such a magical time for your family!
Walt Disney World Resort has many helpful services in place for
Guests with mobility disabilities and I think
renting a scooter, otherwise known as an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV), will make your sister-in-law feel very comfortable. You'll find that she can take it right on many rides and attractions within the Parks. She can even roll right onto many Disney transportation options outside the Parks like the
Disney Skyliner!
Scooters are available for rent daily through the Walt Disney World Resort on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, if you think your sister-in-law will need the scooter between destinations, such as traveling from Park to Park or Park to
Disney Springs, you may want to look to an outside vendor which rents for your length of stay. Disney's Featured Provider, Scooterbug, works with the Cast Members at your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel to provide drop-off and pick up at the Resort even if you are not available to be present at that time.
When it comes to making
Advance Dining Reservations, especially for larger groups, I would recommend breaking up your party into smaller groups and finding coordinating reservation times. This has worked for me and my family on our past few trips. Cast Members are usually good at accommodating your entire party to be as close as possible even if you have to sit at more than one table. Remember, you can start making your dining reservations 60 days in advance of your trip, so set an alarm and be ready at 5:45 a.m. on reservation day! If you would like to call directly instead of booking through your
My Disney Experience mobile app simply call (407) 939-3463.
Happy planning, Patricia!
