Oh Mary, do I ever! I've been to
Via Napoli a handful of times since opening day and it has become my favorite new spot in World Showcase. In fact it's the most blogged about restaurant on my personal blog.
The decor and ambiance alone make it a joy to relax and enjoy a meal in, the excellent food is a bonus. Now there are some who are unimpressed with the pizzas and pastas served there and feel it is a bit on the pricey side...however coming from Boston and living in central Florida for the past 15 years, I am SO grateful for good pizza!! In addition, the pasta dishes we've tried have all been delicious. What makes Via Napoli a favorite is all the different options available; unique drinks, both alcoholic and non, appetizers, entree options and desserts too. Let me run down some of my favorites:
The sangria there is wonderful and I'm not a sangria or red wine drinker at all. The other cocktails I've tried have all been excellent as well. If cocktails aren't your thing, the blood orange acqua fresca is light and refreshing. I'm not a fan of the Arancini (fried risotto balls) as they are a bit bland, but the fried calamari have been consistently good. My favorite pizza is the Quattro Formaggi (four cheese) and my husband has gotten the Candele pasta a few times, which is also amazing. They recently removed my favorite dessert so now if we dine there we save room for Karamel Kuche in Germany! ;)
I definitely recommend Via Napoli unless you cannot stand pizza or pasta. I hope you give it a try and maybe it'll become one of your favorites too!
