Hi there, Ruth, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you so much for stopping by with this important question. Keeping our little Mouseketeers safe and sound is every parent's number one priority, especially when traveling!
We live about an hour's drive from the Walt Disney World Resort, so we've been taking my son there since he was a baby. By the time he was walking, we watched that kid like a couple of hawks! We didn't know about the temporary tattoos at the time, but it sounds like they could have given us some peace of mind. I've seen mentions of a brand called SafetyTat, while an Etsy search turned up lots of options like temporary tattoos, stickers, and even buttons you can have pre-printed with your information.
If your little one is separated from you at Walt Disney World, you can rest assured that the Cast Members will go on high alert to make sure you're reunited as quickly as possible. Lost children will be escorted to the
Baby Care Center (there's one in each Theme Park), where they are looked after until parents are located.
Ruth, one tip I've always found helpful is to take a photo of your children each morning to document what they're wearing that day. It's a big help for Cast Members searching for a lost child, especially since we parents may not remember in the stress of the moment.
You'll find lots of other tips to help us all stay safe in the Parks on
Disney's Wild About Safety site. The kids will love learning all about safety with fun videos and activity sheets featuring their pals Timon and Pumbaa!
I hope this helps everyone in your family take a walk on the safe side, Ruth. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!
