Its recommended to have meal reservations but what if u r stuck on a ride? Just time manage better? What if ur in a different park? Just wondering in general how others have done it, thanks

    Hi Stephanie!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!

Yes, it is recommended that you make as many advance dining reservations as you can, to avoid disappointment from not being able to dine at your favourite restaurants.   This can seem to be taking all spontaneity out of your vacation, but with the huge popularity of the Disney Dining Plan, among other things, many restaurants become fully booked well in advance.

With careful planning, it is possible to include your dining reservations in your day's activities, and make everything achievable.

The key is to allow yourself enough time to travel between locations.  From one Walt Disney World Resort hotel to another it is recommended that you allow at least 60-90 minutes for your journey.  If you are travelling from one theme park to another, transportation varies - sometimes you can take a direct bus, other times you would have to transfer between buses, or use the monorail, so you should also allow plenty of time.

It is important that you allow enough time to arrive for your dining reservations, as there could be a charge for no-shows, or late cancellations.

If you would like me to help you plan your routes/dining, please send me a direct question with specific details, and I would be happy to help you plan your magical vacation!
