Hello Lisa!
A Mediterranean high-seas adventure sounds absolutely amazing! What an incredible trip you have ahead. This
itinerary is definitely on my bucket list too!
Arriving a day early is a fantastic idea as it gives you peace of mind in case of any travel delays. The
Civitavecchia Cruise Port is about an hour from Rome, and Disney’s recommended hotels are conveniently centrally located in the city. The current recommended hotels are theTribune - JDV Hyatt, the Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel, and the Rome Cavalieri, A Waldorf Astoria Resort. Any of the three would be a wonderful choice. If you
contact Disney Cruise Line you can book your hotel and your port transfers.
After you’ve picked your pre-cruise hotel, I suggest reaching out to them directly regarding airport transfers as options can change frequently and each hotel handles them differently.
Pro planDisney tip: make sure and download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app ahead of your trip. This is where you will find all the info you might need during your journey including onboard activities, and port adventures. You can even chat with your cruise mates no matter where they are onboard!
Bon Voyage!
Anne
