Is recommended for Dec 31 to return to hotel to take rest and return later to the park?

    Hi Liz!

You have a great question! Whether you return to your hotel to take a rest and return later may depend on which Park that you are leaving and returning to.  December 31st is a very busy time at Walt Disney World because guests are wishing to ring in the New Year at Walt Disney World.  Parks can reach capacity (once a park reaches capacity, no more guests are allowed to enter even if they are returning back to that particular park).  Typically, the Magic Kingdom reaches capacity first.  If you are going to Hollywood Studios, Epcot, or the Animal Kingdom after your rest, then you should be all right.  If you are planning to ring in the New Year at the Magic Kingdom, then I would recommend staying there for the whole day.

I hope you have a magical vacation in Walt Disney World as you ring in the New Year!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
