any recommendations for a place, on property that would sleep 7 adults, 4 kids/ Thank you

    Welcome to planDisney, Judith!

I’m so glad to hear that you’re planning your upcoming adventure to The Most Magical Place on Earth! Disney World really is such a wonderful place to celebrate all of life’s moments — and I hope you enjoy the magic with your large party next year! WOOHOO! If you haven’t already familiarized yourself with the Disney Parks Blog page, I highly recommend doing so. You’ll be up-to-date on all of the Disney World announcements with that resource in your back pocket!

You’ll be able to start looking for your hotel reservations for next October soon, Judith. Typically you can book Disney Resort Collection Hotels about 12 to 14 months in advance. Your window of opportunity is quickly approaching.

When I have traveled with larger groups, we like staying at Art of Animation. We typically get 2 Family Suites and split the group between the two suites. There are 2 full sized bathrooms and enough beds to sleep up to 6 adults per suite. This gives everyone a little more room, and this Resort boasts reasonable prices AND hosts the Disney Skyliner — making it really easy to get to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios!

If you’re wanting to stay all together in one suite, I recommend looking at the villas that are available. These will be more expensive, but the luxury of these locations is unmatched! You’ll need to look at 3-Bedroom Grand Villas. The ones I consistently hear great things about are the villas at Grand Floridian, Riviera, Old Key West, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Saratoga Springs. These are Disney Vacation Club locations, so your options for booking may be a little limited as these rooms are given on a priority basis to Disney Vacation Club Members.

While you’re visiting Disney World with your large group, consider dining at Boma! This is a buffet-style restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge that is my family’s favorite, and it accommodates large parties SO well. The bonus is that nobody has to wait for food — it’s always ready to go… and it’s always delicious.

If you have additional questions, we hope to hear from you again at planDisney!

    See ya real soon,

I’ve enjoyed most of my life in the heart of Wyoming but am currently living my fairy tale as a wife, mom, yoga instructor, and fine jewelry designer in central Florida! When I’m not galavanting around the Disney theme parks, you’ll probably find me reading a good book, outside playing with my family, or learning to do something new. I truly believe that dreams come true, and I look forward to sharing that magic with you!
