Can I get a recommendation for 2 meals: a casual sit-down in the resorts for Christmas Day (since it'll be busy, will I need a res?) and a suggestion for a nicer sit-down Christmas Dinner? Time/order doesn't matter. Thank you.

    Hi Jessica,

Thank you for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel and I'm delighted to hear you'll be in Walt Disney World during the holidays! It is truly a magical time to vacation. Yes, you will definitely want to book your meals in advance as it is quite busy this time of year. A quick online Disney Dining search of four guests for lunch provided a few options remaining at the Disney Resort Hotels. I would recommend Kona Cafe at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort or The Wave at Disney's Contemporary Resort for lunch. Both are easily accessible from the monorail near Magic Kingdom. Filtering the above search to "dinner" will provide you the options remaining for that evening. If you had your heart set on certain dining locations, continue to check availability. Often times reservations will open up closer to your vacation as guests' itineraries change. You can also contact Disney Dining by phone at 407-WDW-DINE, 407-939-3463. Keep in mind some guests forgo the table service meals to spend more time on attractions and entertainment. Plenty of counter service locations exist so you can grab quick meals in a jiffy! My best advice is to eat outside of typical meal times, like 11:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m.
