Do you recommend visiting DD by day or night? My BF and I are in our 30's and visiting in 46 days! Neither orf us are big drinkers or party-goers, but would love to shop and sightsee. Was also contemplating the Flights of Wonder-- thoughts? Thanks!!

    Hi Kristen,

I'm a big fan of DTD & think there are good things about visiting day & night. If you want to do some serious shopping, I'd recommend you get there as soon as the shops open to avoid the crowds. Many of the shops at the Marketplace open at 9:30 a.m. (keep in mind that hours are always subject to change).

There are some really cool things to check out including all the Lego statutes near the Lego Store - amazing. You'll also find great dining at DTD - many places offer open air dining with a water side view.

The nighttime is more festive & you don't have to be a party-goer to enjoy it. You'll find live performers throughout DTD. Many of them are quite unique including a guy that plays a double neck acoustic guitar & a didgeridoo - yep - you read that right. The crowds can get very heavy at night - especially during peak seasons but its still fun to check out.

You mentioned Flights of Wonder which is a show in the Asia section at Animal Kingdom. I think its a really cool show & well worth catching a performance. You may be speaking of Characters in Flight which is the helium balloon attraction at DTD. If so, I LOVE this attraction & have flown several times. This experience is different at day & night. I think of the 2, I prefer the day time flight more just because you can see more. Weather permitting, hours of operation are everyday 9 a.m. - midnight. I would go 1st thing in the morning - weather conditions are often better & its not as crowded. You can't make reservations - you pay at the window & wait in line until its time to board. As of 8-15-10 current prices (always subject to change) are $18 (tax included) ages 10 & up; $12 (tax included) ages 3 - 9 & kids under 2 are free.

Please feel free to let me know if you have more questions about DTD. Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
