Hi there, Carlos! Thank you so much for stopping by
my very own corner of planDisney with your question. I'm so excited to help!
If your budget allows, I would absolutely recommend experiencing
Magic Kingdom and
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on separate days. My ideal itinerary would be one full day at Magic Kingdom during regular operating hours, followed by a second visit dedicated exclusively to the Halloween party. In my opinion, this is the best way to experience everything the park has to offer without feeling rushed.
A regular Magic Kingdom day gives you the opportunity to enjoy all of the classic entertainment that isn't available on party nights, including
Happily Ever After. You'll also have plenty of time to experience your favorite attractions, explore each land, and take in the atmosphere at your own pace.
Then, on your Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party day, you can focus entirely on everything that makes the event so special. Instead of trying to fit in attractions you missed earlier, you'll be free to enjoy the exclusive entertainment, the Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks, trick-or-treating, rare character meet-and-greets, party-exclusive snacks, and all the incredible Halloween details that make this my favorite special event of the entire year.
Could you spend the entire day at Magic Kingdom and then stay for the party? Absolutely! Many Guests choose to do exactly that. However, I personally think it makes for a very long and tiring day. By the time the exclusive party entertainment begins, you've already spent hours walking around the park, and it can be difficult to fully enjoy everything the party has to offer. I did this once, and I wouldn't do it again, if I'm being completely honest with you.
If you have the flexibility, separating the two experiences is definitely the way I would go. You'll get the complete Magic Kingdom experience, including Happily Ever After and everything that makes a regular park day so magical, and then you'll have an entire evening to immerse yourself in all the exclusive Halloween fun.
Carlos, I hope you have the most magical (and spooktacular!) vacation. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is truly something special, and I can't wait for you to experience it!
Warm hugs,
Ana Paula
