Would you recommend the Old Key West or Saratoga Springs Resort for a first time guest who is 62 years old and has a little trouble with long distances but does not require a wheelchair. Wants to stay at the nicest of the two.

    Hi Julie,

I've stayed at both of these resorts, and had wonderful experiences at each of them.  Personally though, I prefer Saratoga Springs Resort.  It is the newer of the two resorts and has a more manicured feel to it, whereas Old Key West is more of a laid back island feel.  The Spa at Saratoga Springs resort is wonderful and I really enjoy the zero-entry swimming pool (it's a gradual entrance like walking into the ocean).  It's worth noting that there are elevators in every building at Saratoga Springs, but only select buildings at Old Key West.

Both resorts are very large, and unfortunately there could be a lot of walking at both.  I would suggest that for whichever resort you choose, have the reservation agent place a note on the file that there is a mobility issue and a building close to the bus stop and main building would be preferred.
