Would you recommend Hoop Dee Doo or Spirit of Aloha. My boys are 14 & 9. They both look great, but not sure which one they would like. I see different seating "categories" for each. Which one would be a good viewing? Thanks. This panel help

Hello Kim.  Thanks for asking your question here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I am so glad to see you are thinking about adding in a Dinner Show to your vacation schedule.  They both are a lot of fun.

I have experienced both the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue and the Spirit of Aloha many times and have enjoyed my experience at both.  There is really not a bad choice.  However, the one my family and I prefer, and I think your boys will too, is the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.  It's down home cookin' like fried chicken, ribs, corn on the cob and strawberry shortcake that everyone always raves about.  It's loud and rowdy in the dining room with lots of singing and dancing and joke telling.  Also, I don't thing there is a bad seat in the house.  Of course, the best viewing category is Category 1 on the main floor in front of the stage.  You will pay more for this seating option, but it is worth it and you might even be apart of the fun.  I really can't say enough great things about the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, it is an upbeat knee slappin' good time.  Oh, I do want to mention that the dining room can sometimes be pretty chilly so if you are cold natured like me you may want to grab a light sweater to bring with you.

I hope I have made your decision a little easier.  Enjoy your vacation and if you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World vacation, please feel free to ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
