Ciao, Kim! It’s lovely to have you join us.
I fondly remember our past
European sailings, especially our visit to Italy. I can’t wait to return to Rome and spend more time exploring the historical sites … and eating more delicious gelato. You have a few transportation options to get you to the port of
Civitavecchia for your Disney Cruise. Let’s see if we can find an option that works best for your crew.
Since you’re staying at a hotel before embarkation, many of them can arrange private transfers to and from the port for you. I suggest looking at the hotel’s website to see if any preferred companies are listed; you can also inquire when you arrive. Another option is to take a train to the port. Tiburtina and Termini are the major train stations, with Termini being the most popular. Schedules may vary, so give yourself ample time to arrive.
Alternatively, you could return to
Fiumicino (Leonardo da Vinci) Airport and leave the transportation to Captain Minnie. If you decide this is the route you’d like to take, plan to return to the airport by 11:30 a.m. at Terminal 3, Door #6 seating area. A Disney Cruise Line representative will check you in and load you onto a bus. Arrivederci! You’re on your way to the Disney Dream!
Kim, I know your family will have the best time on your Mediterranean Cruise. When you’re out and about exploring the city, make sure you have a few coins to toss in Trevi Fountain. Legend says you should have your back to the fountain and toss a coin over your left shoulder to guarantee a return trip to Rome.
There are no coin tosses needed to return to planDisney. You are always welcome! We look forward to hearing from you again.
SEAS the adventure!
