Can you recommend a great place to take an active family portrait? Maybe a jungle gym, a small fence that we could all stand on, something Christmas-y for our Christmas card? There are 10 of us.

    Hi Carol Ann,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Nothing says "Merry Christmas from all!" quite like a family vacation photo from Walt Disney World! Whether you're posing for traditional, whimsical, beautiful, or active, you're sure to find more than a few spots to capture your holiday card.

I know you mention a playground idea, and there are plenty around the Resort hotels, though they might not have that special Christmastime feel you're seeking. For theme park spots, the stunning Cinderella Castle in all its lights makes for a classic backdrop from many different angles. The Sunset Seasons Greetings show in Disney's Hollywood Studios offers a cool yule background. Epcot and Disney's Animal Kingdom, too, have lots of locations for you and elves to stage your shot. Keep in mind the character greetings can be perfect for a large group. With the right timing, some Christmas creativity, and help from a Disney PhotoPass photographer, you can have a lot of fun with your holiday card photo. Outside of the theme parks, I'd check out Winter Summerland Miniature Golf for its fun-filled and merry surroundings, and I'd also explore Disney Springs and its Christmas Tree Trail. Remember also that the Resorts are absolutely beautiful at Christmastime. The lobbies at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Wilderness Lodge are two of my favorite scenes.

Carol Ann, here's wishing you and your family a most merry and magical Walt Disney World Christmas!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
