What would you recommend for a family with a almost 3 year old and a 6 year old....Disney land or Disney cruise? Are there rides that toddlers can go on at Disney land? Can they go on bigger rides with an adult?

    Hi, April!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you’re on the way to planning a perfectly pixie-dusted family vacation!

As lovers of all things Disney, my husband, our two children and I enjoy theme park visits as well as Disney Cruise Line voyages. Both types of vacations offer a unique variety of family-friendly fun with the attention to detail that Disney is famous for. However, the Disneyland Resort is “home” for us and our favorite place to make magical memories together!

There are dozens of rides your 2-year-old could enjoy in the Disneyland Resort theme parks! If there is no minimum height requirement or an attraction is advertised as being for “any height,” then it’s safe for even a toddler. Check out the complete theme park attractions list online. It can be sorted by age interest, height requirement and thrill level. You’ll find there’s something for everyone in both theme parks! Some favorite attractions the whole family can experience together in Disneyland Park are “it’s a small world,” Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Peter Pan’s Flight, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Cruise. There are even a few attractions with minimum height requirements that your youngest child may be tall enough to ride with a parent, like Autopia at Disneyland Park and Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters at Disney California Adventure Park, which have a minimum requirement of only 32 inches. Please keep in mind that children under 7 years old must be accompanied by an adult on all attractions they are tall enough to ride.

April, I hope your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is all you’ve dreamed! Please write back with any other questions you may have.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
