Do you recommend early or late seating

    Ahoy, Gisele!

Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question!

There a few factors that come into play when deciding between early ("Main") or late dinner seating. Early seating is a popular choice for families traveling with young children, so it is usually the first to get booked. Guests with early seating dine first, then head to the Walt Disney Theatre for the evening's show, while guests with late seating see the show first then head to dinner.

Children that dine in the late seating have the option to participate in the Dine and Play program. With the Dine and Play option, (only available during second seating), the youngest cruisers have their meals expedited and served first. As the children are finishing up, Youth Counselors make their way to the dining rooms to escort them to the Oceaneer Club. This allows the adults in your party to dine at a more relaxed pace without the worry of a squirmy child eager to go and play!

Keep in mind that an early dinner seating may rush you a bit on days the ship is in port, and may conflict with certain Port Adventures. If you plan on taking advantage of a full day off the ship when in port, you may prefer second seating.

Another thing to consider is breakfast times on the last morning of your cruise. Guests with main seating will be assigned the earliest breakfast time, followed by second seating. If you need to be off the ship first thing, early seating may be your preference.

When it comes down to it, dining time is a personal preference for your sailing party. No matter which you choose, you'll get to enjoy delicious meals, have excellent service, and see some fabulous Broadway-style shows each evening!
