which do you recommend to celebrate my husband's 40 birthday? Spirit of Aloha Show or Hoop dee doo musical revue or mickey'backard BBQ? I'd like a very special celebration. Thanks!!!

    Hi Angela,

I would suggest the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. There's down-home comfort food, the dessert is part of the show, the laughs are endless, and they recognize birthdays during the show!

The other two choices that you mentioned - Spirit of Aloha and Mickey's Backyard BBQ - are both held outdoors and while covered, you might worry about the elements on such a special occasion.

For a fun evening, I would take the boat from the Magic Kingdom and walk to Pioneer Hall where the Hoop-Dee-Doo is located. Afterwards, head to the beach to watch the evening's fireworks!

Return to the Magic Kingdom and either take transportation back to your resort or continue the party at one of the monorail resorts. Take the monorail to the Polynesian and enjoy the Tambu Lounge which serves a Lapu Lapu drink which you drink directly from a pineapple. For a quieter refuge, head to the Grand Floridian and listen to the orchestra.

As you can see, there are countless possibilities for celebrating a special occasion at Walt Disney World. And doesn't everyone feel young-at-heart at WDW?!!
