Do you recommend a book on visiting Disney for the first time with 8 and 10 year old?

    Hi Tina,
Good question!  I have just finished pouring over five equally good books on Disney planning.  While none of them specifically talk about visiting with and 8 and 10 year old, they do evaluate the rides, resorts and experiences so you can make decisions about what you would like to see and do with your crew.  In alphabetical order, here are five options (and there are more too...just Google Disney planning guides):

Birnbaum Guides - Walt Disney World 2010, Fodor's Walt Disney World 2010, PassPorter's Walt Disney World, the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2010 and Walt Disney World with Kids 2010 (Wiley).

I would also recommend using the search function on this site (www.disneyworldmoms.com): in the top left hand corner, type in the specific keywords to what you would like to know about, and you will get lots of great answers from the Moms!

Tina, your kids are at a wonderful age to visit Walt Disney World. Have a magical family time together!

Walt Disney World stole my heart when my parents introduced me to the magic the year it opened. I fondly remember my first 'Mickey Mouse in a Glass House' balloon! I still visit with my parents-and now with my husband and our two teens. Learn More About Lynn
