    how can you recharge the battery on an active magic band?

    Welcome to planDisney Shirley!

    MagicBands are so fun with all the colors and options. I have quite the collection, but I have my favorites that I seem to use the most. Sadly, they do not last forever, as the expected battery life is about 2 years and batteries are not replaceable or rechargeable. Take your MagicBand with you on your next Walt Disney World adventure and give it a try to see if it is still working. You might be surprised to see it still has a bit of magic in it! 

    A few tidbits of good news for you. If you are a fan of the MagicBand, stay tuned as  MagicBand+ will be introduced sometime in 2022. It is going to have the features you currently enjoy plus new interactive capabilities. Just when you think we have seen it all, something new pops up! 

    More good news! Many of the capabilities of MagicBand are available on your phone with the My Disney Experience app. You can use your phone to access your theme park tickets for park entry and even unlock the door to your Walt Disney Resort hotel room. Technology is moving faster than your car on Test Track!

    Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog. My friends there are always in the know of what's on the horizon all over Disney, so hopefully they will have some exciting news to share about MagicBand+ real soon!
