Welcome to planDisney, Luis-Carlos! We are glad you stopped by with your question. It is important to "
Know Before You Go"!
I know there had been some confusion a few years back about whether "stroller wagons", such as Keenz, were permitted in Disney Parks. In a
recent update to the park rules, the language regarding strollers and wagons was clarified.
Stated among the list of prohibited items in the
Disneyland Resort Rules:
- Strollers that are greater than 31" (79 cm) in width and 52" (132 cm) in length
- Wagons, including stroller wagons
And in the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules:
- Strollers that are greater than 31" (79 cm) in width and 52" (132 cm) in length. Stroller wagons are also prohibited.
- Wagons are prohibited at any theme park, water park, or Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. Wagons are prohibited at indoor venues at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
The park rules printed on Walt Disney World theme park guide maps also state that strollers larger than 31" x 52" and any types of wagons are strictly prohibited. I can't speak to why you may have seen wagons in the parks on a recent visit to Disneyland Resort. I know in some cases they are allowed to be used in lieu of a medical stroller or wheelchair for persons with disabilities and must be tagged as such at the security screening checkpoint. Last week, I did see a family with a Keenz-style wagon told they would not be permitted to bring it into the park at the gate to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Needing to return the wagon to your car or hotel would definitely not be a magical start to your day, so I recommend either bringing your own stroller that is within the allowable dimensions or renting a stroller when you arrive. The rental strollers are great for children of walking age who might need to rest their little legs a bit, and they are really easy to push and maneuver. Walt Disney World Resort recently replaced its entire stroller fleet with new strollers bearing cute Mickey and Minnie designs.
Luis-Carlos, I hope you found this information helpful. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to visit planDisney again anytime.
