Hi Julie,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. I’m so glad to hear you got the royal treatment on your recent vacation! Cast Members are the hearts and souls of the Disney Parks, and one of my family’s favorite ways to spread a little pixie dust is to provide cast compliments and share our gratitude for the ways they made magic for us.
If you have a Twitter account, my favorite way to share the love is to tweet at @WDWToday using the hashtag #CastCompliment. Share the Cast Member’s name, hometown (if you have it), where you encountered them, and what made the experience magical. We love including pictures if we have them. My kids go bananas when we get a reply from @WDWToday – they sometimes even include a photo of the Cast Member holding a printout of the tweet!
If you don’t have Twitter, you can still spread the love - simply
contact Guest Relations. You can do that via the Chat window on the Guest Relations section of the Walt Disney World website, or by calling the My Past Walt Disney World Visit team at (407) 939-6104. If you’re still at Walt Disney World, you can share Cast Compliments at any Guest Relations window. They will be sure to pass the information along so the Cast Member gets that well-deserved recognition.
What’s extra-wonderful about thanking Cast Members is that this praise goes into their employee files. I love thinking that I might be helping a wonderful Cast Member get a well-deserved promotion or pay increase!
Julie, I know how happy those Cast Members will be to receive your message of appreciation, and I hope sprinkling your pixie fills you with that Walt Disney World magical feeling!
Have a zip-a-dee-doo-dah day,
Robyn
