Hi there Thomas!
Welcome back to planDisney. I'm so glad you've chosen to be our guest once again. And now we invite you to relax and pull up a chair as we proudly present...an answer to your question!
Thomas, I hear you, mon ami. I've visited Walt Disney World several times during the past year, and I am anxious for ALL of my favorite restaurants, attractions, and resorts to be available once again. Meanwhile, it has been nice to see more and more things getting back to normal. Did you see that
fireworks and nighttime spectaculars made their return just this week? By the time you travel again in October, there will be something there that wasn't there before lighting up the night sky in the
Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT, with both parks debuting new nighttime entertainment on October 1. Additionally,
Casey's Corner and the
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor will be welcoming hungry Guests back this week. Mini corn dogs and sundaes? Oui, si'l vous plaît!
Just like Belle wanted to reread her favorite book over and over (those far off places, daring sword fights, and magic spells were exciting!), I tend to dine at a handful of Walt Disney World restaurants and order my traditional favorite dishes on every vacation. While I've missed the culinary cabaret of African-inspired delights at
Jiko - The Cooking Place and the fresh and seafood of
Flying Fish, I have discovered some new favorites during this extraordinary year. Nearly all of the restaurants in
Disney Springs are open, and if you haven't tried
Morimoto Asia or
The BOATHOUSE®, I highly recommend checking them out. Both have extensive menus and delicious food. My family tried both
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera and
Spice Road Table for the first time this year, and we loved them both!
As we continue to progress through the reopening phases, the
Disney Parks Blog is the first place to break the news of restaurant reopenings, so stay tuned as your October vacation approaches. My fellow panelists and I are wishing upon a star that
Space 220 launches in time for our fall visits!
I wish I could offer more exact information about when we can expect more dining locations to come back online. For now, keep watching the Disney Parks Blog and
official social media channels for updates. Thanks for stopping by, Thomas, and bon appétit!
