Hi again, Brandon. Thanks for swinging by planDisney with another question for us.
I’m so sorry to hear about your leg injury. I’m sure you probably already did this, but as an RN, I highly recommend that you check with your healthcare provider to make sure it is safe for you to travel, and to know what restrictions or limitations you have.
You’ll find that
Disneyland Resort is designed to be as inclusive and accessible as possible. Because Disney California Adventure Park is much newer than Disneyland Park, many of the attraction queues are accessible for Guests with physical disabilities. Whether in a wheelchair or using crutches, it will be safe for you to join many of the regular standby queue.
Over in Disneyland Park, however, some of the attractions (and therefore the queuing areas) are much older and weren’t really designed with accessibility in mind. For those attractions, there are usually alternate entrance for Guests with mobility disability to use. For certain attractions, the Cast Members at the queue area may provide you with a return time window (comparable to the current wait time) so that you can enjoy doing other activities until it is your turn. Here’s a
guide to help you navigate the Disneyland Resort theme parks if you’ll be in crutches or wheelchair. If you have any questions while you’re at the parks, don’t hesitate to ask any Cast Member who will gladly assist you.
