Hi, Michael! Welcome back to planDisney!
I'm so sorry to hear that you've had some health struggles recently, but rest assured
Walt Disney World Resort does a great job of making the magic accessible to everyone.
Disability Access Service (DAS) is one of the accommodations that Walt Disney World Resort offers for Guests in need. DAS is intended for Guests who, due to their disability, cannot wait in a typical queue environment. When I visit the Walt Disney World theme parks with my son who is on the autism spectrum, we utilize DAS. It has been a great help to my family.
To see if DAS would be the best option for your individual situation, I recommend reaching out to a Disability Services Cast Member. Their phone number and email address can be found using this
Services for Guests with Disabilities link. If it is determined that DAS would be a good fit, you can either sign up for the service at
Guest Relations once you arrive at a Walt Disney World theme park, or you can
register for DAS in advance via a live video chat with a Cast Member. Please note that the video chat must take place between 2 and 30 days before your theme park visit.
If we can answer any additional questions for you as you get ready for your trip, please don't hesitate to ask. We're all ears! See ya real soon!
Samantha
