I see you recently stayed at Fort Wilderness. We have a cabin booked for our upcoming trip and were wondering if it was really helpful to rent a golf cart.

Hi Amy!  We had a nice stay in the cabins this past month even with the record rains!

Although it is not necessary to rent a golf cart while in Fort Wilderness it is actually FUN!  You can get to the park buses easily without waiting for the internal bus system and you can head to the Pioneer Hall area to eat or catch the boats to the Magic Kingdom. There is parking at both places for your cart.  The other great advantage is the ability to get to the pools and the stores if you need something quickly.

Just one word of caution.....don't place young children alone in the back as it is easy for them to fall out when the driver hits the accelerator pedal.  It sort of lurches and can cause little ones to tumble off if they are alone and not held.  The kids will love this and my grandson basically thought of it as his new favorite attraction at Walt Disney World!
