    We recently stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It was very nice but looking for something more bright & cheery and more suitable for a 5 year old? Any suggestions on favorite resorts? Thank you!!

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I also love Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and waking up to the spectacular views of the savannas, but my family has a couple other favorites you should definitely check out.

    One resort that we always seem to return to is Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. Perhaps it is the palm trees swaying in the breeze, the steel drums playing tropical tunes, or the bright and cheerful colors, but this resort always makes me smile.  Beyond the wonderful theme, my kids all adore the Fuentes del Morro pool!  The slides are great and the zero-entry pool is perfect for those who like to sit in the shallows and splash.  Speaking of splashing around, we also fell in love with Disney's Beach Club Resort just this year. The resort if very airy and light, it is wonderful to be able to stroll around Disney's BoardWalk area during the evenings and the pool!  Stormalong Bay is a gigantic, 3-acre, splashtastic water area complete with water slides, a lazy river, and a sand bottom pool!  My kids loved sitting in the sand, splashing in the water and building sand castles.  This water wonderland is really like no other.  

    Hopefully one of these options looks interesting and you'll want to give it a try, but please let me know if you have any further questions about these Disney Resorts (or any others.)  I hope your stay at Walt Disney World Resort is incredible and have a magical vacation!
