I have recently signed up for my first race ever (w&d 5k). After reading some of the posts I want to up the ante to the 1/2. Is it possible to transfer the fee I've already paid to the 1/2?

Hi Rebecca!  Congratulations on signing up for a race!  I am going to bet that it will be the first of many more to come!

I am sorry it took me so long to respond, but I wanted to talk to the runDisney staff to make sure I got you the right answer.  For the Wine and Dine half marathon, you can sign up for the half as long as there is availability, but you cannot transfer your 5K fee to the half marathon.

If you are really wanting to do the half, you could always sign up for both.  A lot of people do both of them to get the full experience.  Generally, if I do the 5K and the half on the same weekend, the 5K is more of a fun "fast-walk" for me.  I don't try to run my normal pace.  I am simply there to have a good time and of course, get the t-shirt and medal!

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if I can help you in any other way as you prepare for your race!
