Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Meagan!
My family and I had the best time flippin’ our fins at
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort last year. We stayed in a The Little Mermaid Standard Room, and had so much fun searching for all the Disney details in our room and around the resort – we felt just like Ariel with her gadgets and gizmos aplenty!
I haven’t seen a food kiosk or cart set up in or close to The Little Mermaid area during my visits, Meagan. I chatted with a Cast Member, who confirmed that, at this time, your
dining options are the Landscape of Flavors food court or The Drop Off Pool Bar (which opens closer to lunchtime).
In my opinion, the
Landscape of Flavors food court is not really far from The Little Mermaid area; I would estimate it’s about a 7-10 minute walk, depending on where your room is located. It’s also a really great walk, with lots of larger-than-life characters, lovely landscaping, and a wide and easy-to-navigate path. If you’ll be using
Disney Bus Transportation, you’ll walk right past the food court on the way to the bus stop.
While I think the breakfast offerings at Landscape of Flavors are great (Character waffles! Smoothies!), if you’re hoping to save some time and money, you may want to consider bringing or
ordering groceries. My family usually keeps yogurt, cereal, milk, fruit, and granola bars on hand, along with other snacks to eat in the theme parks. That way, we can eat breakfast while we’re getting ready in the morning or while walking to the bus. It’s a great time saver, and eating first thing means that we avoid getting “hangry” AND can maybe enjoy a sweet treat mid-morning (
Dole Whips are pineapple, which makes them breakfast, right?).
Meagan, I hope life is the bubbles during your stay under the sea at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, where such wonderful things surround you! Enjoy every minute of your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation – let the magic begin!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
