Hello I recently purchased a dvc contract I haven’t received my info yet but can I purchase my park tickets before I set up my room or should I wait?

    Hiya, Travis!

As a new Member of our Disney Vacation Club family, I'm happy to say "Welcome Home!" to planDisney!  Thanks so much for dropping by with a question today.  How exciting that you and your family are embarking on this incredible journey.  With world-class accommodations, exclusive Member Benefits, and Disney magic around every turn, you'll be shaking an extra sprinkle of pixie dust on your vacations for years to come!  Although it's been many years since my family experienced our first stay with Disney Vacation Club, I still vividly remember the excitement of those early visits.  Each and every time we walked through the doors of a Disney Vacation Club Resort and headed to our fully-equipped Villa, it felt more and more like home –– seriously, is there anything cooler than that?!  I can't wait for you and your family to experience your own "homecoming" in a few months.

While there are tons of things you can do from the Disney Vacation Club website once you receive your Membership access, purchasing your Walt Disney World theme park admission isn't one of them (while there is a "Purchase Tickets" option on the Member Dashboard, the link is simply going to take you to the Walt Disney World website).  The great news is that this means you can purchase your tickets whenever you're ready, even if you haven't booked your room.  The one thing I want to caution you about, however, is that when you purchase your tickets, your ticket price and entry period are based on the date you first plan to enter one of the parks.  Since you haven't been able to make your reservation and guarantee your dates yet, there's always a chance that you may need to alter your tentative plans based on Resort availability. While you will have the option to change your ticket's starting date in the event your plans change, just keep in mind that you'll need to pay any difference in ticket price between the dates.

I hope this helped to answer your question, Travis, and I really appreciate you visiting planDisney.  I'm wishing you and your family an incredible first Disney Vacation Club visit and lots of Membership magic for many years to come!

    Happy Planning,
    Amy
