Recently purchased Birbaums 2009 guide to WDW. It says that Space Mt. will be closed for much of 2009 but it is not shown online as being refurbished when we will be there in March. Do I need to be worried that it won't be open? We love this ride. Thanks

You need to be hopeful that the refurbishment will be re-scheduled but prepared for any possible closures. At any given time, one or more WDW attractions will be closed for rehab. It's the only way to bring new attractions to guests and to enhance older rides and shows.

We are visiting WDW in January. Space Mountain is one of my son's favorite rides. I've given him the heads up that it might be closed. It's always best to be prepared and this lessens the disappointment.

Keep an eye on the official March calendar. Any refurbishments will be posted underneath "Operational Updates".

As of now, only the Hall of Presidents is officially scheduled to be closed during your visit. This can change so keep checking back!
