We recently purchased AP’s (DVC sorcerer one) for our family . My oldest daughter will not be with us this trip but going in another without us. None of our passes are activated . When she goes without us being her pass is a DVC one will it be a issue ?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Kerri!

You are as welcome as can be here at planDisney.  One of my favorite parts of being a Disney Vacation Club Member is all of the thingamabobs and benefits we get, such as the ability to purchase the Disney Sorcerer Pass when it's available.  It sure is quite a savings and adds so much extra pixie dust to our pockets!

Kerri, I checked with Guest Services about your question and a Cast Member with Disney Vacation Club Member Services.  Both said that as long as the Disney Sorcerer Pass is in your daughter's name, and she comes with the necessary proof of identification which I will share below, she should be able to activate it without a problem.

When you visit Walt Disney World on your next visit, you will want to stop at the ticket window before entering the park to activate your passes.  When I activated mine in June, the Cast Member was so helpful in telling me everything I needed to know, including Annual Passholder discounts that were available. They will be sure to get everything up and running for you.

You should also be able to scroll through your My Disney Experience account in your "Tickets and Passes" tab and only activate the ones that pertain to the family members visiting the parks with you. You would need to provide a photo ID and a valid proof of your Disney Vacation Club Membership (such as your Digital Membership Card.) As an added step, I would also recommend bringing a screenshot of your receipt from your purchase of your Disney Sorcerer Pass, especially if it isn't showing in your "Tickets and Passes" tab in My Disney Experience.

When your oldest daughter visits the parks, she should be able to activate her Disney Sorcerer Pass on her first visit. But she will need to visit the ticket window prior to entering the parks and provide a screenshot of the receipt from your purchase of the Disney Sorcerer Pass, a copy of the ID of the Member(s) - so a photocopy of your ID - and a photo ID/proof she lives in the same household for it to be activated.

Once you activate your Disney Sorcerer Pass, that first day of use will be the anniversary date for your passes. Then, on the day your oldest daughter activates her Disney Sorcerer Pass, that becomes the anniversary date for her pass.

One more tip for you, Kerri.  If you are eligible for Disney Vacation Club benefits and discounts, and have the Disney Sorcerer Pass, be sure to ask about both at dining and merchandise locations. If they offer a discount, they can tell you which discount would be greater and apply that one when available. On my last visit, the annual pass discount was greater than the DVC Member discount at many locations due to it being Annual Passholder Appreciation Month and Cast Members were happy to add a little extra sparkle to my day (and wallet.)

I hope this helps you, Kerri! If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, fly back here to see me. I'm just the second star to the right and straight on til morning!

    Magically Yours,
    Keri
