We recently moved to southern CA from NY, and want to buy the 3 day locals pass, but my girlfriend doesn't have a CA ID yet. Can she use her NY ID along with a bill and/or her lease showing residence here in Los Angeles?

    Hello, Devin,

Congratulations on making the move to sunny Southern California! As an out-of-state visitor, I’m only a little bit jealous of the amazing deals now available to you.

Residents within Southern California ZIP codes 90000-93599 or Northern Baja California postal codes 21000-22999 are eligible to purchase and use Southern California resident weekday tickets. As proof of residency, a government-issued photo ID is required. But what if your new permanent ID card or driver’s license hasn’t arrived yet? Hakuna matata! It means, “no worries!” That’s because a temporary ID card issued by the government is still valid for demonstrating residency. If your girlfriend hasn’t applied for a new ID card already, I recommend doing so at her earliest convenience.

Tony’s Tip: Now that you are bona fide residents of the Golden State, you’ll probably want to immerse yourself in the culture of your new home. There’s no better way to do that than to enjoy the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, going on now until April 25, 2023, in Disney California Adventure Park. While you’re there, don’t forget to ride one of my favorite limited-time attractions: high-flying Soarin’ Over California!

    Adventure is out there,” Devin!
