Hi there! I recently moved to Riverside, CA to live with a friend. Since I just moved, I don’t have a California ID and all the bills are under my friend’s parents’ names. Would I need to bring a bill in with my name or have my friend reserve my ticket?

    Hi there, Annie!

I’m so glad you stopped by planDisney with this great question, and I’m happy to hear you want to plan a visit to the Disneyland Resort soon! Are you as excited as I am that the theme parks are reopening on April 30, 2021?

As you know, only current California residents can enter the theme parks for the time being due to guidelines from the state. As residents with an in-state address, either you or your friend can make the theme park reservations for both of you. Valid tickets must be linked to the Disney account of the person making the reservation, and the system will not allow reservations to be made for visitors who reside outside of California. Be sure that all of your information, especially your home address, is up-to-date on your Disney account before entering the reservation system. You shouldn't need to bring a bill with you to the theme park gate, but you will need to confirm that everybody in your party are California residents by signing an online waiver before confirming the reservation.

I hope this helps, Annie, and that you and your friend have a perfectly pixie-dusted visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Please write back with any other planning questions you have.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
