Josh from CA Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I've recently moved from overseas and I am now Californian Resident. However, I don't have a Californian driver's license. what other proof can I show that I am a resident to be eligible for the SoCal tickets?

    Hi Josh!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for bringing this Disneyland Resort planning question to us hEAR!

First off, Welcome to sunny California! The SoCal Resident Ticket is a wonderful way to not only spend three days at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, it's an extremely amazing value! To be able to redeem these tickets you do need to present a state or government-issued photo ID that includes your new address, and your address must fall within the zip codes of 90000 - 93599. Another ID option aside from a California drivers license would be a California State ID card, or anything issued from the U.S. Government that also has your new CA address on it. And if you don't currently have any of these documents, the good news is that the last day to use these tickets is May 21, so you do have a bit of time!

I'm actually new-ish to California myself, and I do want to add that you should look into getting an Annual Passport. Going to Disneyland Park once or twice a year is great. But living so close, you'll LOVE seeing both parks in all of their seasonal glory and checking out all of the various events as well as attraction overlays. A few examples: Disney California Adventure Park hosts multiple events throughout the year, like the Disney Festival of Holidays featuring entertainment and traditional foods of various holiday cultures from around the world, and the even bigger annual Food & Wine Festival just started a few day ago! Here's a foodie guide from the Disney Parks Blog to help you make a list of what to try. You'll also love seeing both parks transform as seasons come and go which also trickles down to various attractions, too! Halloween time is especially popular and both parks go all out - characters don their best candy-collecting costumes, Cars Land looks a little spooky (or should I say, "spoke-y"), snacks in both parks take a terrifying twist, but the biggest change of all is that the Haunted Mansion adds a full 'Nightmare Before Christmas' overlay that simply cannot be missed.

I hope this helped to answer your question, Josh, and if you have any other Disneyland Resort questions, We're All Ears!
