I recently moved to Los Angeles and my daughter is flying down in two weeks and I'm taking her for her first time. Will the temporary ID card be enough to show proof of residency or do I need the plastic card?

    Hey there, Meagan!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so envious that you are now living with the Disneyland Resort literally in your backyard as a Southern California resident! Your daughter is also very fortunate to have you take her to create magical memories together at the Happiest Place on Earth.

As long as your temporary ID is a government-issued state ID or license from the Department of Motor Vehicles, this will be sufficient proof of residency if you want to take advantage of any of the amazing offers available to Southern California residents. The Disney Southern California Select Passport is one of the unique offerings available to Guests like you. It is the most economical option that allows you to have a year of magic while taking advantage of Disneyland Annual Passport benefits like discounts on dining and shopping at the Disneyland Resort. Keep an eye on the Special Offers page regularly for some other great discounts and opportunities for SoCal residents.

Since your daughter is visiting the Disneyland Resort for the first time, make sure she stops by City Hall in Disneyland Park to pick up a complimentary "1st Visit" button. She is sure to get some special greetings throughout her trip! For your mother-daughter vacation, I recommend a special meal at an iconic location like Blue Bayou Restaurant in Disneyland Park or Carthay Circle Restaurant in Disney California Adventure Park. These are some of my favorite iconic restaurants that are perfect for special occasions like your daughter's first visit. You can always check online or on the Disneyland app to make reservations for these or any other Table Service restaurant before you arrive.

I hope this helps, and I just know your daughter's visit is going to be practically perfect in every way!
