I recently moved to Florida and I don't have a Florida license just yet. Will a current credit card statement and/or phone bill be enough as proof of residence to show at the park gates?

    Hi Jean,

Welcome to Florida and to planDisney! I love that one of your first priorities as a new resident is to take advantage of the special admission offers for those who live in the state.

The best way to verify your Florida residency is by providing a valid state issued ID, drivers license or a Florida-based military ID. With those official IDs, you can do the verification online when you purchase your tickets or annual pass.

If you haven't had time to navigate the official government ID system yet, you still have options. Other valid proofs of Florida residency include recent bank statements, utility bills, car registration and other documents that show your name and address. You can find the full list of valid proofs of residency here. Those alternate forms of address verification must be presented in person at a ticket window or Guest Relations to validate your ticket or pass.

There are some great offers for Florida residents this spring. I'm a longtime passholder and always advocate annual passes for Disney-loving Floridians. Or, if you would rather ease into the Florida Disney life, one of this spring's special ticket offers for Florida residents may be just right for you.

One tip, Jean: As a Florida resident, you can spread the cost of an annual pass over 12 months interest-free, which is a terrific benefit. And annual passholders receive a host of perks, including free parking at the theme parks, discounts on resorts, dining and merchandise, special opportunities and more.

Thanks for your questions, and please let us know if we can help in other ways as you settle in.

    Enjoy!
