I recently made reservations to take my Granddaughters to Disneyland in March. How do I know whether I got “the best” deal wrt tickets and lodging ? Is it possible to get an invoice detailing the expenditures I signed up for? Can I converse with a schedule

    Hello, Oscar!

Welcome to planDisney! We often travel to Disneyland Resort with my kids' grandparents, and I delight in the special memories created on these trips. I also love a good deal, so I can understand the desire to get the best offer when visiting Disneyland with your family.

When I'm getting ready to plan a vacation to Disneyland, I always start with the Offers & Discounts page. This shows what promotions are currently available to Guests. Right now, there is a Kids Special Ticket Offer, where children between three to nine years old can visit Disneyland at a promotional rate with the purchase of a special 1-day, 1-park ticket. These tickets are subject to availability and are only good through March 10, 2024, which is right before you visit Disneyland, unfortunately. There is also a hotel offer that ends in early March, where you can potentially save on Sunday to Thursday night stays at a Disneyland Resort hotel. Is there any chance you can move up your trip to take advantage of either of these promotions?

If you live in Southern California, another offer may apply to your family. The So Cal Ticket Offer is available with the purchase of a special 3-day, 1-park per day ticket for admission on select days, subject to park reservation availability. The Offer is valid for Southern California residents living within ZIP codes 90000-93599 and proof of eligible residency using a government-issued ID is required.

If any of these options work for you, then I suggest booking a room-only reservation and purchasing your theme park tickets separately. If they don't apply to you, then it may be easier to stick with a Vacation Package.

Disneyland's table service restaurants are very popular and reservations tend to fill up early. If you haven't done so already, I suggest reviewing the list of restaurants to determine if you are interested in eating in any of them. Advanced dining reservations are available up to 60 days in advance, and the earlier you can book them, the better! Lamplight Lounge, Storyteller's Cafe, and Goofy's Kitchen are some of my family's favorite restaurants.

Before your trip, I also recommend downloading the Disneyland mobile app. I like to play around on the app ahead of time to view park maps and get comfortable with how it operates. In the parks, it's a helpful tool to look at wait times, mobile order food, and book Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane reservations.

Oscar, I hope this information was helpful. If you have additional questions, you are welcome to contact me directly. Have a wonderful vacation!
