Hello, Stephanie!
I'm sorry to hear you hurt your foot so close to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Hakuna Matata! I have a few recommendations to help make your visit magical.
If you are looking to
rent a wheelchair or electronic conveyance vehicle (ECV), there are rental locations inside each theme park and at Disney Springs. Units are available for a day-by-day rentals or length of stay rentals. Keep mind supply is limited and available on a first come, first-served basis. Rentals must remain inside the area where they are rented, so this may not be the best option if you need assistance outside a theme park.
You may want to consider renting a unit from a Disney featured provider. One perk with this option is that a few of the companies will deliver (and pick up) your rental unit right to your Disney Resort hotel. You can find a list of Disney featured providers at the bottom of this
ECV Rental page.
Lastly, if you prefer not to rent a unit and plan to walk the parks, then you might want to request
Disability Assistance Service (DAS). The DAS is designed to provide a virtual wait time for those who are unable to wait in a regular queue. Simply head over to any theme park Guest Relations Lobby where a Cast Member will be able to assist you based on your specific needs.
You will not need to bring a doctor's note, but you will need your handicap placard if you plan to park in that area. I hope this helps, and you have a wonderful vacation. Please let me know if I can answer other questions you may have before your visit.
