I recently heard about painting your a ceramic/ earthenware Bb-8 @ wdw. It may be in Disney Springs or hotel/resort near Disney Springs. This is a painting / craft experience that guests do on site. This isn’t for building droids at Hollywood studios.

    Hey there, hi there Doug!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Whether you are getting ready for your next magical vacation or just looking for a unique activity for a fun weekend, there is always something new to do at Walt Disney World!

Have you ever visited a Community Hall at a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Resort Hotel? These fun-filled spaces are filled with games, TV viewing areas, rainy day activities, and crafts. If you are a guest staying at a resort hotel with a Community Hall, you can enjoy all of the activities and amenities offered. Most are complimentary, but there are some activities that may include a nominal fee.

What does this have to do with BB-8? Well, at times guests have been able to purchase and paint ceramic Star Wars items, including a BB-8 bank, a Death Star bank, or a Light Saber vase. Perhaps this is the activity that you have heard about. Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa is within walking distance to Disney Springs and has a Community Hall. Crafts change frequently, so these specific activities are not always available; however, Cast Members do always have some fun activities planned, so you should definitely look for a Community Hall next time you are staying at a DVC Resort.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
