I recently heard that there is a military discount for Disney World. Can you verify this and tell me what it includes. Thanks

Yes there are different military discounts to save on vacations to WDW. Thanks to our service men and women!

First, the Shades of Green resort (not operated by Disney) has very spacious rooms and is conveniently located near the Polynesian resort. Guests are eligible to participate in Extra Magic Hours. You’ll want to read all the information specified at the Shades of Green website under Special Offers and Reservations. Active duty, retired veterans (over 20 years) and honorably discharged veterans are just some of the military personnel that can take advantage of this deluxe resort. Take a photo tour of the resort via the above link.

United States troops serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom are eligible for a Shades of Green discount after serving for 12 consecutive months. This is a great way to spend your leave or you can utilize the discount up to one year after your tour of duty.

All honorably discharged veterans (regardless of the years served) are eligible in January and September

There are various resources for discounts on tickets. See mousesavers.com to see which offer best suits your needs. The Shades of Green website also answers many questions on tickets under their FAQ section.

    Best wishes!
