    Hi! I recently had a friend who was visiting Disney World purchase one of the new character (Buzz & Woody) Magic Band for my son. We are planning our next trip Sept 2016; I wondered if we would be able to link the character Magic Band to reservation?

    What a magical gift your son has received! I love the variety of characters available, and I'm the proud to say that I own one of the Sorcerer Mickey MagicBands. You have two options when purchasing retail MagicBand. You can have the Cast Member immediately activate and link to your My Disney Experience account, or you can choose to link it yourself. For Christmas, I gave MagicBands to my husband and son.  Linking them was easy!  Just find the MagicBands and Cards section in your My Disney Experience account and follow the steps. It took just a few minutes! I hope your son enjoys his new MagicBand, and I'm sure he will have a giant smile the first time he uses it in the theme parks! Let the countdown to your magical vacation begin!
