I recently had foot surgery & still non weight bearing. Will I be allowed to use my knee scooter while at the Parks?

    Hi Sheri,

Welcome to planDisney! I hope you are well on your way to recovery, and I am so happy to hear you will be able to make it to the magic in just a few short weeks.

I believe I have some good news to share with you, but we'll need to make sure your device fits within the current Disneyland Resort property rules and regulations as of today. When it comes to wheeled mobility devices, they must have 3 or more wheels and be able to remain upright when stopped, unpowered or unoccupied without training wheels or modifications. Guests must be able to operate the device at a walking pace, they must be single rider, and they cannot be larger than 36" in width and 52" in length. You might also want to check out the Mobility Services offered to guests using a mobility device as it may include some extra information that would be helpful for your visit. I'm wishing on a star that your knee scooter falls within these parameters!

I can imagine you will want to experience as much magic as possible, but you may also find yourself needing a bit of a rest in between attractions. One of my favorite places to take a break in Disneyland Park is a spot I have walked by a million times without noticing until I discovered it on my last trip. Just on the border of Fantasyland and Tomorrowland in front of the Matterhorn Bobsleds and behind Edelweiss Snacks, you'll find a long covered bridge over the water with lots of chairs and tables. What I love about this is that you're out of the sun and away from the the hustle and bustle of the crowd. With the relaxing water surrounding you, you can really take a moment to soak in the magic, people watch, and grab a snack.

Speaking of snacks! My fellow planDisney pal Carrie just introduced me to the Cheesy Garlic Pretzel Bread from Edelweiss Snacks, and I'm not sure a Disneyland day will ever be complete without one ever again. The best part is that you can use Mobile Order from your Disneyland Mobile App so you don't even have to wait in line. Just head into the app, tap the "+" along the bottom navigation bar and select "Order Food". You'll be able to sort through your options here. You can order it on your way or grab a table, place the order, and pick up up as soon as it's ready. Truly, a pixie-dusted way to enjoy a tasty treat!

Sheri, I sure hope this was helpful. Wishing you magic on your next visit!
