I recently finished Chemo and will be recovering for several months. Does this rate as a diability as I get very tired and blurred vision often. I want to do the princess dinner/lunch with my granddaughter, is there a discount?

    Dear Fred,

First, congratulations on completing Chemo! In my house, we refer to Chemo/Radiation as the "gifts that keep on giving"  because even though you are done with it you'll be feeling the effects for a long time to come!

If you stop by Guest Relations when you enter one of the Disney Parks you can request what is called a 'Guest Assistance Card' (also known as a GAC). This card will let Disney Cast Members know that you might need help at certain rides and attractions.

Also, Disney World does have wheelchairs and ECVs (electric convenience vehicles) available for rent. If you are feeling weak there is nothing wrong with renting one. Plus, your GrandDaughter will probably think your chair is pretty cool!

I don't know of any discounts for Character Dining, but I do hope that you and that little GrandDaughter have a fantastic time filled with special memories!
