I recently cancelled my reservation for disneyland because i wanted to reserve for California adventures instead but it is not letting me make a new reservation that day for California adventure

Hello there, Jocelyn! Welcome to planDisney. We appreciate you stopping by with your question before your upcoming visit.

Oh boy! I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your reservation. It sounds like when you tried to change parks, Disney California Adventure Park was not available for the day you were hoping to visit. The Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar is fluid and both the park and date availability does change as Guests book and cancel their reservations. I always recommend that you check the calendar before you cancel your current reservation to make sure that there is availability for your date and park.

I am not sure which ticket type you have but at the time of writing this, I can see that there is availability for both parks for your date for Park Hopper tickets. If you have a One Park Per Day ticket you can upgrade this ticket to a Park Hopper. If you have any further questions or concerns about your ticket, you can reach out to Ticket Services or visit the Main Entrance Ticket Booth in the Esplanade.

Jocelyn, I really hope you are able to find a reservation so you can go forward with your visit. If you have any other questions we'd love for you to stop back by again.

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
