Hiya, Alejandro!
Welcome to planDisney! I am so very glad that you stopped by with your ticket question. Tickets to The Most Magical Place on Earth are an amazing gift. I am sure your Ohana is very excited about planning the best trip ever!
The first step to making any plans with theme park tickets is to link them to the Guests that will be using them. I recommend that all the adults in your travel party create a
My Disney Experience account. After you have each created your own accounts, you can
link them so that you are able to share travel plans, make reservations together, and update any changes for the entire group at once. If there are children in your group, the parent should create their accounts so they are able to manage their plans. They can also give access to other adult members to view their plans and include them on reservations like dining experiences. You can
add the tickets to your account through their ID number and assign them to each of the visiting Guests in your sister's family.
Okay, now that everyone has an account and is linked together, let's talk reservations and rides. All Guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort will need to make
Park Pass Reservations in addition to having a valid theme park ticket. You mention visiting next October, so if you are referring to 2023, you may not be able to make theme park reservations just yet. Currently, reservations can only be made through January of 2023. If by chance you are visiting in October 2022, you can make those reservations now, and should do so ASAP. This is an amazing year to visit Walt Disney World Resort, and some dates have limited availability. Should 2023 be your vacation goal, reservations will be able to be made online later this year, when 2023 tickets and vacation packages are released. You can check for this update on the
Disney Parks Blog!
Phew! I know I am giving you a lot of information here, Alejandro. And I hope that you find it helpful. We have arrived at the best part of a Disney vacation, the attractions! I am sure you have heard about reserving ride times, or as you will see referenced in the parks, Lighting Lanes. This service is part of the new Disney Genie+ and is an add-on to theme park tickets. Genie+ gives you access to those previously mentioned Lightning Lanes, saving you tons of time in the parks. Which means more time for fun!
Lightning Lanes are reserved the day you visit the parks (you can book at 7 AM ET), so no need to do anything now. If Genie+ is not part of the ticket that you purchased, Hakuna Matata! You can add this amazing feature on each of your park days. You can do so through the
My Disney Experience mobile app. Tap the three bars at the bottom right of the screen. Then choose the My Genie Day tile to get started.
I hope that your upcoming adventure with your Ohana is memorable and magical!
We'll see ya real soon!
